New Mulberry – 1 week on

"Red" in all her glory

All laden up...

My new Mulberry ("Red") arrived last Monday. I moved into it on Tuesday, so I have been in it about a week.
So… what are my thoughts on it…?
I’m probably going to move back out.

Only probably… I’m going to give it until the end of December and then see how I feel (and consider what I might move into if I don’t stay in Red).

Twice now I have said, "Right. Back to Indie," and then Red has looked all forlorn and I’ve stayed put. But what is it that is enticing me back to Indie/driving me away from Red?

I don’t know.

I think it’s one of those head/heart things… Head is saying, "Perfect size, bright colour, gorgeous organiser… what’s the problem?" Heart is going, "Dunno. Just… hmm… I’m not in love."

So, sorry to the queue of you wanting to buy Indie off me, but he’s not going anywhere! Just in case.

And, fickle sod that I am, even just typing this blog post has made me go, "No, no. Red is great. Absolutely lovely… More than happy staying put." In fact, I’m havering over whether to leave the line I’m probably going to move back out in or not as now I feel like I’m not going to!

I mean, she really is gorgeous.  And I know that this is the right size for me (especially as I am already thinking about designing a new day per page insert for 2013 which will of course be a piece of cake to print). I also know that in the depths of winter, I need a colour hit, so even if I moved back into Indie, after a while I would be demanding  colour and wanting to move back out.

But I’m just not in love… yet.

And of course, I just ordered a personal Holborn in wine...

  1. Hmmm, I wonder what it is that stops you loving Red? She seems so perfect for your needs. A berry red binder in the midst of winter is so cheering, like a red robin in the snow!

  2. I bet it's the glossy patent leather because everything else about this binder seems perfect.

  3. I love the look of the binder from the photos -the patent red is gorgeous!

  4. She really is gorgeous... it might be that the cover is very stiff (from it being patent) but the rest is fabulous!

    but...

The Holborn in wine has just arrived so now I am in a complete quandary! Help!?

  5. I think that Red is stunning, but why not allow yourself to move between them as your fancy takes you? You also did say that it wasn't love at first sight, like it was with Indie...

Personally I've realised that a crimson Malden is the one for me, but it's taken me a while to realise it. I admit I purchased another (Philofaxy post due soon!) but I tend to go with my gut feeling with them.
